He received his early education at a small elementary school in his native village and soon started his career at Coffee Board. He has risen to fame and success through sheer grit, natural confidence and discerning style. He launched the first hotel in Bangalore in the year 1960. He was a sincere Entrepreneur who has led a fulfilling life of hard work and dedication who relentlessly worked towards a focused goal.
He was the founder of Indian Coffee house in Bangalore and was also the Chairman of A.I.C.W.C.S Federation Ltd. Delhi, under which 1100+ coffee Houses are running all over India and has given employment for about 20000+ employees. He is globally recognized as an hotelier and visionary. He was heading various Associations in Bangalore till his last and was a active in a number of Philanthropic activities.
His son Dr. Nagabhushan Subbaiah who holds a Doctorate degree in finance from the Liverpool University U.K., is heading the group who is driving for innovation in hotel industry. The group under his leadership has also ventured into trading and retailing activities.
